Sowerby Bridge street lighting specialist receives generous donation from supplier to boost funding for chosen charity
SOWERBY BRIDGE, UK: Lucy Zodion Ltd, Sowerby Bridge based street lighting and smart city specialist, has recently received a generous donation of £500 for charity Overgate Hospice. The donation has been kindly given by Anglia, one of Lucy Zodion’s long term UK suppliers.
The donation will greatly contribute to Lucy Zodion’s fundraising efforts for 2019, where it aims to raise as much as possible for chosen charity of the year Overgate Hospice. The Hospice is a Calderdale based Charity (the region in which Lucy Zodion operates) dedicated to caring for patients with life-limiting illnesses.
Each day it costs the Charity £7,000 to provide effective care and assistance to its patients; that’s £3.5million each year. Although partially funded by the Government and the National Health Service (NHS), with around 27% of funding coming from Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the Charity is heavily reliant on donations to help reach the remaining £2.5 million.
The donation, along with Lucy Zodion’s additional fundraising activities, will help to ensure the Hospice continues to provide the valuable services that touch the lives of so many throughout Calderdale.
