Lucy Zodion is delighted to announce that its Isle of Man project has been shortlisted in the Sustainable Project of the Year category at the prestigious Electrical Contracting News (ECN) Awards. This recognition celebrates Lucy Zodion’s commitment to sustainable innovation through its work with Manx Utilities, creating a scalable, future-ready electric vehicle (EV) charging network on the Isle of Man. 

The ECN Awards will take place on December 5th, 2024, at the Heart of England Conference & Events Centre, bringing together industry leaders to honour advancements in electrical contracting across the UK. 

Meeting the Isle of Man’s EV Needs with Innovative Technology 

Lucy Zodion’s EVIS Feeder Pillars play a pivotal role in supporting the Isle of Man’s goals for EV adoption and carbon reduction. Designed for modularity and future adaptability, the EVIS Feeder Pillars provide a flexible and efficient solution for EV charging infrastructure, with notable features including: 

  • Anti-condensation heaters and PEN fault detection technology for increased reliability 
  • Pre-wired configurations that reduce installation times, minimizing disruption in high-traffic areas 
  • Modular, scalable design enabling future upgrades with ease 

In partnership with Manx Utilities, Lucy Zodion has successfully installed 133 public EV charge points across 49 locations, supporting over 1,377 battery electric vehicles (BEVs). With this infrastructure, the project has already delivered 369,807 kWh of clean energy, resulting in a reduction of 207 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
